Our Mission

The Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild"s mission is to come together and express our creative sides. We believe in unlocking the creative within each and every one of us, and offer a number of exhibits for all members. Whether you’re a professional looking for new inspiration, a brand new student hoping to learn a thing or two about fine crafts, or if you’re simply interested in picking up a new hobby, the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild is here to welcome you into the fold.

President's Message

Greetings!

I am the new president of the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild.  I am truly honored to serve in this guild that has been active for fifty-two years and to help lead it to future success.  This summer, your officers will be working to organize and plan for the upcoming season.

We have already started researching new and familiar opportunities to exhibit and sell our creative work.

For the last two years, COVID took its toll on us all including minimizing the number of events the guild could offer.  Now that the worst is over, we hope to create an interesting season of events and re-energize members to join in the fun.  Our meetings each month will consist of a board meeting, a social time with food and beverages and a member meeting where we will prepare an interesting speaker or educational experience that I believe members will learn from and enjoy.

In the spirit of renewal, we are asking members to first, attend our meeting in September which will kick off our season and second, I am challenging every member to bring a friend who is interested in fine crafts, curious about the guild, or may even want to join.  Plan to bring a dish to pass also.  That’s your homework.  My homework is to, with the help of VP Donna Esher and others, find, secure, and build a season full of fun, exhibits, and sales opportunities and friendship.  See you at the September 17th Member Meeting at Cape Coral Art Center.  Social time starts at 11am with a program and meeting to follow at 11:30am.

Yours in art,

Lynn Ondercin
